Kayserispor want to sign Manchester United’s Sam Mather and Manchester City’s Jadel Katongo in the winter market.
Journalist Reşat Can Özbudak took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report about the Manchester City defender and Mather.
Özbudak claims the Turkish club are now focusing on the 21-year-old after securing a deal for the Manchester United player.
According to the journalist, Kayserispor have started negotiations with Manchester City to sign the centre-back. He hasn’t mentioned whether they are looking to sign Katongo on loan or a permanent transfer or Manchester City’s stance.
Haberler have a report on the work done by the Süper Lig side to acquire the Manchester United youngster’s services.
The 21-year-old winger returned to Manchester United after spending the second half of last season on loan at Tranmere Rovers.
Kayserispor were keen on signing him in the summer but weren’t successful. They’ve subsequently returned for the young attacker and Haberler claim the Turkish club have reached an agreement, likely with the Red Devils.
It’s explained Mather will arrive in Turkey at 7:30pm local time on Wednesday to have a medical and complete his move to Kayserispor.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are considering signing RB Leipzig’s 20-year-old winger, El Chadaille Bitshiabu, on loan in January.
