Now injuries have calmed down Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has a wealth of options, especially in midfield and attack. Arne Slot would love to have that too, but he’s missing some huge players for this game.

Below we take a look at the Arsenal vs Liverpool predicted lineups, with analysis on how Arteta and Slot could line up their teams.

Arsenal predicted lineup

------------------------

**——- Raya ——-**

**—- Timber —- Saliba —- Gabriel —- Hincapie —-**

**—— Odegaard —- Zubimendi —- Rice —-**

**—— Saka —— Gyokeres —— Trossard ——**

The back four for Arsenal seems very settled, although Myles Lewis-Skelly could come in for Piereo Hincapie at left back. The midfield trio is also very settled with Declan Rice stepping up as a real difference maker in recent weeks. Mikel Merino is pushing for a start but the form of Odegaard, Zubimendi and Rice as a trio means they will start. Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard were rested against Bournemouth and will come straight back in on the right and left respectively. And even though goals have been hard to come by, Viktor Gyokeres will keep his place up top as he will stretch Van Dijk and Konate with his runs in-behind. That said, the fit-again Gabriel Jesus is pushing Gyokeres hard for that spot. Arteta also has Gabriel Martinelli, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke pushing and that is creating wonderful competition in attack and brilliant options off the bench to close out games.

Liverpool predicted lineup

--------------------------

**——- Alisson ——-**

**—- Bradley —- Konate —- Van Dijk —- Kerkez —-**

**—— Gravenberch —- Mac Allister ——**

**—— Szoboszlai —- Jones —— Wirtz ——**

**——- Gakpo ——-**

The back four picks itself for Liverpool with Milos Kerkez likely to start over Andy Robertson given his extra speed which will be handy against Bukayo Saka. In midfield the duo of Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister will hold but ahead of them there are options. Does Jeremie Frimpong come in on the right? Probably not. Slot will likely want the incredible work rate of Dominik Szoboszlai to stop Rice and Trossard from running the show down the left, so his defensive work will be crucial. And then Curtis Jones and Florian Wirtz will dovetail between the left side of midfield and the no. 10 role to stay fluid and keep creating. Up top Cody Gakpo is set to start in the central role again as Alexander Isak is out injured and Hugo Ekitike is struggling with a hamstring issue. Ekitike could be fit enough to come off the bench but is unlikely to start. When you look at the options on the bench for Liverpool, in midfield and attack it is down to teenage talents to step up and provide cover. Could Rio Ngumoha or Federico Chiesa be a hero off the bench?
