It’s already clear who one big winner will be from the appointment of Liam Rosenior as Chelsea manager.
Andrey Santos had not ever really been trusted by Enzo Maresca since arriving in the summer, but had great success under Rosenior at Strasbourg last season. Things are looking up for him.
“Phenomenal” midfielder can help out Chelsea’s squad if finally given the chance.

On the London is Blue podcast today they took a look at the Brazilian and why he could be so important in the remainder of the campaign:
“Andrey Santos comes on [against Man City] and it really changes the game. He’s helping to move the ball, he’s helping to progress it. He’s helping fight and win it back. He had a phenomenal type of performance,” presenter Dan Dormer said.
“If our new manager is who we think it’s going to be, with the Strasbourg link, the performances in Ligue 1 last season, he could be the stepping stone for Santos to finally have a true, true place in this team.
“I see big things for him in the second half of the season,” his fellow presenter Nick Verlaney added.
“We’ve got to get Moises Caicedo a rest. We’ve got to give Enzo Fernandez a rest. We’ve got to give Reece James rest. We’ve got to trust Andrey Santos can really do a job here.”
