Lakers star LeBron James hilariously describes playing status for back to backs

The Los Angeles Lakers notched up their third straight victory last night in New Orleans when they took down the Pelicans 111-103 in their NBA clash.

Later tonight, the purple and gold will be in San Antonio to face the Spurs in the second night of a back-to-back.

It may be the case however that Los Angeles could be without one of their biggest stars for the matchup against San Antonio, given the fact it will be the Lakers’ second game in two nights.

LeBron’s hilarious response to playing back to backs

Despite scoring 30 points and delivering a near triple-double against New Orleans, as per NBA.com, 41 year old LeBron James gave a hilarious reason as to why he may not play against the Spurs and why playing in back to backs the rest of the season may not be a guarantee for him.

“I’m 41 years old…every back-to-back for the rest of the season is TBD,” James said with amusement when speaking to reporters after the game.

“I am 41, I got the most minutes in NBA history. Bank it right now ok. What are we talking about?”

Although his impact on the court may resemble the level of play of a younger player, James reiterated that he truly is indeed 41 years of age.

“Look at my birth certificate. December 30th, 1984, 4:39 pm, that’s when I was born…when I came out, I slapped the doctor in the a**,” James jokingly said.

While NBA fans will probably feel let down if it turns out they’re unable to watch LeBron on the court tonight, Spurs fans may not be too disappointed if it means their side doesn’t have to take on the challenge of limiting one of the best players in league history.
