Arsenal are considering a move RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande. The 19-year-old has impressed for Leipzig this season after contributing eight goal involvements in 14 Bundesliga matches.

The player has carried his good form into the Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast, scoring in their 3-1 win over Burkina Faso on Tuesday. Diomande has caught the eye of Manchester United, Tottenham, and Paris Saint-Germain, and The Athletic has reported that Arsenal is now ready to join the race for his signature.

It was previously reported that the player could be available following the conclusion of AFCON later this month, but the player’s performances have now put his club on alert. Leipzig are currently in a Champions League spot as they sit fourth in the Bundesliga table.

They will hope their key man will return for the second half of the season to help secure European football for next season.

Arsenal keen on Diomande

Arsenal invested heavily over the summer. The Gunners spent over £250m to bring in Eberechi Eze, Viktor Gyökeres, Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christhian Mosquera, and Piero Hincapie.

Left wing is still an area for concern in some corners of the Arsenal faithful though, with Gabriel Martinelli struggling to recreate his best form. Leandro Trossard has seen the lion share of minutes on that flank this season, but his long term future are the club is uncertain.

The 31-year-old signed improved terms over the summer of 2025, but his new deal only increased his salary and not the length of contract. His contract will still expire in the summer of 2027. Diomande could be seen as another addition to Arsenal’s young core.
