Trae Young’s camp reportedly has suggested Minnesota and Brooklyn, from their side, as two attractive potential destinations. However, for now, neither team is actively pursuing Young, as acquiring the four-time All-Star could come at too high a cost.
With Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks widely expected to part ways as the NBA trade deadline approaches, multiple teams—including the Wizards, Bucks, and Clippers—have been mentioned as potential landing spots for the star guard.

Now, additional teams are entering the trade conversation. According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Brooklyn Nets have also been viewed by Young’s camp as potentially attractive destinations.
“I’m told that Young’s camp has suggested Minnesota and Brooklyn, from their side, as two attractive potential destinations,” Fischer reports.
However, for now, neither team is actively pursuing Young, as acquiring the four-time All-Star could come at too high a cost.
“I’m also told that neither the Timberwolves nor the Nets are in pursuit,” Fischer adds.
He notes, “For all the leaguewide discussion about the Timberwolves’ search for more playmaking, they would face similar issues in a theoretical Young trade as Milwaukee. How many key players would the Wolves have to sacrifice to match Young’s salary? Answer: Too many.”

Trae's time in Atlanta seems limited. ESPN's Shams Charania reported that "both Trae Young and the Hawks know he just doesn't fit with the current team anymore."
Young and his representation are seeking a team on the trade market willing to offer an extension, per Charania.
Young is earning $46 million this season and holds a $49 million player option for 2026–27.
Injuries have limited him to just 10 games this season, where he's averaging 19.3 points on 41.5% shooting, along with 8.9 assists. He is currently in his eighth season with the Hawks.
