€30m price tag set as United and Arsenal track midfielder – Portuguese side lead chase

Manchester United and Arsenal remain firmly in the picture as Sporting step up internal discussions over a possible move for Breno Bidon.

New reports from Portugal and Brazil suggest the Corinthians midfielder has become a priority target in Lisbon. At the same time, the Brazilian club continue to point to a far higher valuation.

According to Leonino.pt, Sporting have placed the 20-year-old at the top of their midfield shortlist. The Portuguese side are considering a bid worth around €15m (£13m).

They are also assessing whether to move forward in the coming weeks as they plan changes for next season. That figure sits close to the range already discussed by other European clubs.

From an English angle, Bidon has drawn attention from both Manchester United and Arsenal. United have tracked the midfielder for some time. Arsenal recently contacted Corinthians to gather information about a potential deal.

In Brazil, the stance looks far more rigid. RTI Esporte report that Corinthians have set an internal asking price of €30m (£26m). The club would only open negotiations at that level.

The same outlet claims Corinthians have already rejected approaches around €15m, including one from Sporting. The club believe Bidon’s value has risen after key moments in the Copa do Brasil.

That gap highlights the current tension in the market. European clubs, including United and Arsenal, appear to work in the €15m bracket.

Corinthians are signalling a much higher threshold. As already reported, there is no urgency from the player’s camp, with timing still valued over speed.

For now, Sporting’s interest adds another layer. Arsenal and Manchester United remain attentive. Corinthians continue to hold their position as the situation develops.
