Report: People in Spain think Liverpool have a youngster with ‘so much potential’

Liverpool have some top talents at the club, with some already having global recognition.

The Reds have not been able to use their academy and young players much this season, with it being too much of a risk given how badly things have gone.

Arne Slot is not usually opposed to giving some a run out, though, and many might have had a lot more minutes if performances were convincing, with there being a few who look like they are ready for the step up.

There is one player in particular, however, who has been spoken about for a little while, but injuries keep setting him back, although this has not stopped people in Spain being able to see the quality he possesses.

Stefan Bajcetic impressed while out in Spain

Stefan Bajcetic is held in very high regard at Anfield, with his talent clear for all to see ever since he was given his debut by Jurgen Klopp.

The 21-year-old has struggled with injuries ever since, though, and has not played for Liverpool for 613 days, although he has been out on loan a few times.

His most recent spell was at Las Palmas, where he played 14 times, and despite such a short period out there, The Athletic have reported that he left a real impression.

According to the report, people who worked with him in Spain noticed how strong he was both physically and mentally, even though he has suffered so many injuries.

This is a real credit to him as he sticks at it no matter what, with the same people recognising that he is a talented player who still has so much potential.

Bajcetic should have been back for Liverpool by now, but the Spaniard suffered another injury setback, meaning he may only feature for the U21s this season.

He is certainly running out of chances to impress, but given Liverpool’s need for another holding midfielder, he can still have a career at Anfield.

If he manages to stay fit, he has all the talent in the world to deputise Ryan Gravenberch or even take his place so he can move further forward, he just needs to catch the eye of Arne Slot.

2026 will be a very big year for the 21-year-old, but fans will be hoping to see him back out on the pitch very soon, with this perhaps his last shot.
