Anthony Davis draws trade interest from NBA powerhouse

The 2025-26 NBA season hasn’t exactly gone the way the Dallas Mavericks wanted, and that could result in the franchise trading away one of its biggest stars.

Anthony Davis only arrived in Dallas last season after the meteoric Luka Doncic trade went down. However, the former NBA champion could now be on a different team in 2026 if the Mavericks opt to move on from him.

A recent report from The Athletic says that the Golden State Warriors are eyeing a move for Anthony Davis. The Western Conference franchise could pair Davis with stars like Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler.

However, the report also indicates that the Warriors aren’t willing to move on from Draymond Green or Butler in a potential trade for Anthony Davis.

This season, Davis is averaging over 20 points and 11 rebounds per games, despite the fact that Dallas sits nine games below a winning record. Meanwhile, the Warriors are 19-18 on the year and are in a brutal fight in a competitive Western Conference.

The idea of Anthony Davis linking up with the Warriors would certainly give Golden State a boost before the playoff push. Golden State has desperately been missing a dominant big man down low, and Davis could provide that.
