Insider suggests 2020 NBA champion could return to Lakers

NBA insider suggests Kyle Kuzma could become the best available option at the wing position on the trade market.

The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly been looking for an upgrade at the wing position on the trade market, with Herb Jones and Trey Murphy III emerging as top targets. However, there could be even more interesting names becoming available as the trade deadline approaches.

Milwaukee Bucks / Schedule

According to NBA insider Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints, Milwaukee Bucks forward and former 2020 NBA champion with the Lakers, Kyle Kuzma, could become the best available wing target for Los Angeles on the trade market.

"It has been difficult for the Lakers, like the Warriors, to find adequate talent worth trading for on the wing without sacrificing their entire future. That is why secondary talents like Isaac Okoro, Keon Ellis, and Haywood Highsmith continue to be realistic options," Siegel reports.

"Maybe there could even be a reunion between Kyle Kuzma and the Lakers, should he be the best wing available on the market," he adds.

This season, the 30-year-old forward is averaging 13.1 points and 5 rebounds in around 26 minutes per game for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Kuzma remains under contract with the Bucks through the 2026–27 season. He is earning $22.4 million this season and is set to make $20.3 million next year.
