The Blues settled for a share of the points for a third successive league game in a hard-fought clash with the Seagulls.
On a night that saw 20-year-old central defender Max Alleyne make his senior debut, Pep Guardiola’s side had taken a 40th minute lead thanks to an Erling Haaland penalty.
The spot also made it 150 City career goals for the Norwegian striker.
However, the visitors hit back to draw level on the hour thanks to a low drive from Kaoru Mitoma.
And though City saw a Bernardo Silva effort strike the outside of the post before Haaland twice went close to forcing a winner late on, ultimately we were forced to settle for a point.
