First, a shoutout to Kevin Broom and Greg Finberg who have been handling the bulk of the editing. I’ve been out on a winter vacation and am still getting my bearings back in order.

Now onto the big story hitting the Washington Wizards: Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young is reportedly preferring the Washington Wizards as his destination. There’s a chance that he may be a Wizard tomorrow. And here’s what’s been going on in the meantime.

First, on the Wizards’ side, both CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert are out and aren’t playing in Washington’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers, currently in progress. Trade rumors from multiple reports have the Wizards giving up McCollum and Kispert in exchange for Young as the framework for a deal.

Now, what about the Hawks? Young was warming up earlier today before their game against the New Orleans Pelicans. However, he did not end up playing. He was also seen signing autographs. But let’s say that amid the trade chatter, there’s a different aura to them.

Well, let’s continue watching the Wizards’ game and we’ll chat more if Young is a Wizard by midnight tonight.
