Falk joins Liverpool on loan

Sweden goalkeeper Jennifer Falk has joined Liverpool for the remainder of the 2025/2026 season.

The 32-year-old arrives on Merseyside from Damallsvenskan side BK Häcken with a wealth of experience under her belt.

It was a memorable 2025 for Falk who captained Häcken, a club she has been with since 2016, to the Damallsvenskan title in November.

On the international stage, she has been Sweden’s number one for the last couple of years and featured heavily in their quarter-final run at last summer’s European Championships.

“I’m very happy and very excited,” she said on joining the Reds. “I’m looking forward to it. It’s been a dream I’ve had to play in this league and this is a really big club so I’m really happy. I think the environment here is amazing, it’s cozy but big, it has everything that you could need. It’s a nice feeling seeing everything.”

She will wear the number 28 shirt for Liverpool for the rest of the 2025-26 campaign after it was selected by her young daughter.

“I asked my daughter to choose which number she wanted me to have,” she said. “She picked 28 and she’s only three so I checked again in 10 minutes later to see if she chose the same which she did!”
