Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews featuring the likes of Filip Jorgensen, Vinicius Junior and Ollie Watkins that we think you may have missed…
There has been some reports which have claimed that Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen has asked to leave the club amid interest from Besiktas during this January transfer window.
CHELSEA have been in the headlines alot over the past few weeks after they decided to let Enzo Maresca leave the club on New Years day, which led to alot of speculation about what boss would be coming into the club.
But after a dew days of talks, Liam Rosenior was announced as boss of Chelsea on Tuesday 6th January 2025, in a move that has many pundits divided about whether or not he is actually ready to lead one of the biggest teams in the Premier League.
But there is also speculation that a number of players are looking to leave Chelsea this transfer window and Jorgensen is a man that is attracting some interest having failed to make the impact that he would have hoped for.
According to Turkish outlet Sabah, Besiktas has offered to take Jorgensen on an 18‑month loan with the option to make the move permanent, and the report claims Jorgensen wants the move.
Besiktas’s alternative target is Tottenham’s Antonin Kinsky. Spurs have been contacted about a potential loan for Kinsky but have yet to make a final decision.
Besiktas now await responses from both English clubs before progressing.

Now that CHELSEA have appointed Rosenior as boss, he can start getting rid of the players that he feels dont need to be at the club, that are not part of his immediate plans, so stars like Jorgensen could get their moves.
It is probably the right decision to want to leave the club, as he is not playing that much, and with it being a world cup year, he needs to be playing. So Besiktas would be a very good move to make.
VINICIUS MOVE?
Here is the latest transfer speculation regarding Chelsea, as there are some stunning claims that the Blues are plotting a £130million bid for Vinicius Junior, according to Fichjaes.
CHELSEA have already spent some serious money the last couple of transfer windows, they have improved that defence, that midfield and even added some new strikers to that attack, but there is always time to keep on adding players to the squad.
And now there could be a chance to try and sign Vinicius Junior from Madid, as Spanish outlet Fichajes claim that Los Blancos are ready to cash in on their superstar after refusing to put Vinicius Jr on the same salary as Kylian Mbappe.
Saudi giants Al-Hilal have retained an interest in the Brazilian winger, but this latest development would also perk the ears of Premier League sides as Chelsea have been long-term admirers of the Brazilian star.
IcFootballnews Says…
We can see why Madrid would want to sell Vinicius Junior this transfer window or at the end of next season, he is probably alot more hassle than he is worth, and greedy at that.
The Premier League would test him on a weekly basis, he would probably struggle to make any sort of impact in that CHELSEA side if the Blues make a move to try and get a deal done, he would not like the English game.
If he does leave, it will probably be to Saudi Arabia as they can afford to pay his high price and his high wage demands, and to be honest, he has won everything so going there would not be an issue.
So even though Chelsea would like to add Vinicius to the attack, he is one player that would cost far too much money, and be far too inconsistent to be worth the cash that would be paid.
CHELSEA TOLD TO SIGN WATKINS
Former Blues star Pat Nevin insists Chelsea should be targeting a new striker during this January window now that the Blues have completed the appointment of Liam Rosenior from Stasbourg.
CHELSEA are more than happy with the attack that he already has this season, but the lack of goals from Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Marc Guia means that the Blues are looking this transfer window
Rosenior does not know what players will suit his style of play, but he does know that he needs a striker that will have the ability to score goals on a weekly basis, rather than every other game.
After a slow start to the season, Ollie Watkins now looks guaranteed to be part of Thomas Tuchel’s England World Cup squad having hit a purple patch, and Nevin has opened up and claimed that a move for Watkins should happen by the Blues.
‘Signing Ollie Watkins could be Chelsea’s top priority in this January transfer window,’ Nevin told ‘BetWright UK’.
‘With seven goals in his last seven games for Aston Villa in the Premier League, he’s hitting the form we saw a couple seasons ago.
‘I admire Liam Delap and his work rate, but when it comes to pure quality, Watkins is the more favourable option.’
IcFootballnews Says….
Watkins is back playing great football, he is scoring goals and all that transfer speculation over the summer is gone from his head, so a move now would not make sense as Villa are in the perfect position.
We have seen big players move in the January window, but unless CHELSEA offer something crazy for Watkins, we cant see Villa letting one of the clubs star players leave when they are challenging for a Champions League place next season.
