Chelsea were claimed to have made huge bids for two stars this week amid links to Real Madrid and Aston Villa players

Chelsea are facing a tough battle to get into the top four this season and secure another year of Champions League football. They lost 2-1 to Fulham on Wednesday night and now sit eighth in the Premier League, three points behind Liverpool who play Arsenal on Thursday.

However, reports appear to indicate the club want to add more attacking threat to their ranks. But there has been no contact with Real Madrid for a record-breaking move for Vinicius Jnr.

“I don't even know where the story is coming from, but I received tons of messages here on YouTube and on my platforms about Vinicius Junior and Chelsea. The story was about a 135million euros proposal to Real Madrid for Vinicius, what I can tell you guys is that this is not true,” said Romano on his YouTube channel.

“Chelsea have not sent any bid for Vinicius Junior. Chelsea are not planning to send any bid for Vinicius Junior. Chelsea are not in negotiations for Vinicius Junior.

“Vini at this stage is not planning for a January exit. So the situation is completely, completely not true, from what I understand.

“Being played down also from people close to the clubs, to the player. So only denials on this story about Vinicius and Chelsea. Remember that Real Madrid desire remains to get a new contract sorted for Vinicius Junior as soon as possible. But at the same time, it's also up to Vinicius to decide.”

While a move for Vinicius Jnr appears fanciful, links persist to Rogers. The Villa man has been one of the standout players in the Premier League this season and is one of Cole Palmer’s rivals for a starting spot in the England squad.

Chelsea haven’t won a Premier League game since beating Everton 2-0 on December 13. Whether it takes a new manager or some new signings to shake things up, the Blues need answers fast.
