Jason Cundy breaks down why Chelsea are a'disgrace'following Fulham defeat

Jason Cundy has not held back with his assessment of Chelsea after their latest loss in the Premier League.

Chelsea were beaten 2-1 by west London rivals Fulham at Craven Cottage on Wednesday night, a game new manager Liam Rosenior was able to watch in person.

It means the Blues have now picked up just one win from their last nine fixtures in the Premier League.

What must Liam Rosenior fix first? 😡

Not good enough…

Chelsea were not helped by Marc Cucurella’s red card, which has been a huge talking point, along with the team’s discipline as a whole.

Jason Cundy tells Chelsea they’re disgraceful after seventh red card of the season

Cucurella’s sending off was Chelsea’s fifth in the Premier League this term and seventh in all competitions. Cundy has now hit out at the defender and his teammates for their ill-discipline, labelling them a “disgrace”.

Speaking on talkSPORT, the ex-Blues player said: “There are so many things he’s [Rosenior] got to do, but actually one of them is actually very, very simple: discipline. Red card against United, red card against Brighton, red card tonight, red card in Europe, red card against Arsenal, right? You’re talking about six red cards and I think there might even be one more.

“They’re actually a simple thing he can do. That is actually quite an easy thing that you can get hold of. Improve your discipline because it’s been a disgrace their discipline. It’s been a disgrace.”

Moises Caicedo, Malo Gusto, Trevoh Chalobah and Robert Sanchez are the other Chelsea stars to have been dismissed in the English top flight.

Joao Pedro was shown a red card in the Champions League, while Liam Delap was dismissed in the Carabao Cup, taking their overall tally to seven.

If you want to count Enzo Maresca’s ejection during Chelsea’s 2-1 win against Liverpool, that makes it eight. It is simply too much.

As well as that, Rosenior also needs to tackle Palmer’s lack of form. The attacking midfielder has been really ineffective since returning from injury.

How Liam Rosenior can solve Chelsea’s disciplinary issue

Chelsea’s indiscipline is one of the first things that Rosenior has to fix now that he is Chelsea manager. How he goes about doing that remains to be seen.

Large fines and the threat of not returning to the starting XI could be possible deterrents to use.

Rosenior has to come up with something; this cannot keep going on. Chelsea are throwing away their season with all of these red cards. They could have beaten the likes of Arsenal and Brighton if they finished those games with 11 men on the pitch.
