Liverpool contemplating making £43.4m offer for "perfect" Salah replacement with "huge future"

Liverpool are said to be interested in completing the signing of a “perfect” young player with a big future in the game, according to a new transfer report.

Reds supporters will be hoping that 2026 is a busy year in the transfer market, with reinforcements needed in several areas of the pitch, including centre-back.

It remains to be seen if a new face will arrive in the January transfer window, but attackers also need to be looked at in the summer at the latest.

According to a report from Spain, Liverpool are considering tabling a £43.4m offer for Barcelona youngster Roony Bardghji, looking at him as a replacement for Mohamed Salah, whose time at Anfield will end sooner rather than later.

The 20-year-old only moved to Barca from FC Copenhagen last summer, so it would arguably be a surprise if they were willing to let him leave so soon after arriving.

Bardghji an exciting Liverpool target with “huge future”

Bardghji is a special young talent who can reach great heights as the years pass, with scout Jacek Kulig saying he has a “huge future” in the game and Barca manager Hansi Flick lauding him this season.

“Roony had a great training session, the mentality, as I said, is perfect. Only eleven players are playing, and everyone wants to play; the attitude is perfect.”

As mentioned, Barca will surely be weighing up whether to keep hold of Bardghji, given his talent, even though he has struggled for playing time this season.

He has only started three La Liga games, but that is only natural considering his age, not to mention the fact that he has one of the best players in the world in Lamine Yamal ahead of him in the pecking order.

Should Barca allow Bardghji to move on, though, and the player himself wants to leave so quickly after joining, Liverpool should be looking at him as such an exciting option.

He could add so much ability and flair to the Reds’ attack, and potentially be the long-term heir to Salah, and if they were able to get him for the reported £43.4m, it could look like a bargain over time.
