Shaquille O’Neal is one of the richest and most famous former athletes around. The NBA legend was at the top of his game throughout his career and got paid like it. He’s also a savvy businessman with an estimated net worth of $400 million. So O’Neal getting a new Range Rover shouldn’t be a big deal, but context is key.
In October 2025, Shaq dealt with being the victim of a theft. O’Neal ordered a Range Rover worth $180,000, but it was stolen while being transported. He offered a reward of $10K to get it back, but didn’t have much luck. Now, he’s got a new one, and it’s custom-made just for the big man.

The new SUV came to O’Neal thanks to Effortless Motors, a California-based customization company that has worked with Shaq for years. When it became evident that his original car wouldn’t be turning up, they stepped in and got him a new one.
In a promotional video that has since gone viral on social media, Effortless surprised the Lakers legend at his home. He initially believed that his stolen car had been recovered, but quickly found out that this was a replacement. What’s more, they loaded the SUV with other gifts and accessories as well.

Shaq has an extremely generous personality; he is known for helping people with his wealth. So it’s nice to see the big man be on the receiving end of similar generosity. In cases like this, it’s safe to say that what you sow is what you reap.
