But the Reds have been making some moves since the start of the window, including a deal for young centre-back Ifeanyi Ndukwe, who will be loaned out for the remainder of 2025/26.
After the addition of Ndukwe, Liverpool have agreed a verbal deal for another rising talent.
Liverpool agree deal for Mor Ndiaye
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Premier League holders are closing in on the signing of another centre-back, Mor Ndiaye.
The journalist confirmed the news via his Instagram, but did not mention when the player will link up with the Reds.

He wrote: “Liverpool reach verbal agreement to sign left-sided CB Mor Ndiaye.
“Senegal defender has played at the recent U17 World Cup in Qatar, and Liverpool decided to get deal done.
“The deal agreed for Mor Ndiaye follows the signing of Ifeanyi Ndukwe from Austria Wien sealed last week.”
The defender, who sometimes goes by his full name of El Hadji Mor Talla Ndiaye, is 18 years of age.
He is signing from Amitie FC, who play their football in the second tier of French football.
A potential transfer fee for Ndiaye is yet to be confirmed by the club or other sources.
