Report: The Chelsea contingent at AC Milan could grow even larger as Max Allegri green lights talks

Despite the hiring of a new manager in Liam Rosenior and the January window now wide open, it is not expected that Chelsea will do an enormous amount of business in terms of incoming signings.

Hardly surprising, given 10 new additions made their way to Chelsea in the summer with Todd Boehly spending north of £250m. Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Jorrel Hato and Alejandro Garnacho all arrived.

The presence of a new manager could see Boehly get his cheque book out this month, with Rosenior eyeing a reunion with Strasbourg midfielder Valentin Barco. The former Brighton star has been immense.

But, there is much more business expected to be done when it comes to outgoings. Raheem Sterling remains an outcast and plenty of other players at Chelsea could consider a move in the coming weeks.

AC Milan open talks to add to their Chelsea contingent

Another could be about to discover an escape route that takes him all the way to AC Milan. It’s not the first time the Italian giants have offered a Chelsea player a new lease of life, just ask Christian Pulisic.

Or, Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Fikayo Tomori remains a Milan player, and Christopher Nkunku is trying to get back to his best after a poor start. Milan are happy with Nkunku even if things have not gone to plan.

Now, a fifth player could leave Chelsea for Milan, and it is £38.5m signing Axel Disasi. Milan are on the lookout for defenders, and Calcio Mercato reports that Milan are in talks to sign the French defender.

The report states that Max Allegri has given Milan the green light to pursue a deal for Disasi, with the defender keen to go and a ‘reasonable’ fee is likely. Milan are also considering Murillo and Joe Gomez.

Speaking in the press conference after Fulham had beaten Chelsea, caretaker manager Calum McFarlane asked reporters how the U21’s had got on. McFarlane confirmed he will return to his role as U21 manager.

Is there a way back for Axel Disasi at Chelsea?

Or do the Blues just need to cut their losses? 👀

He was told that the Blues’ second string had been beaten 6-2 by Benfica. A Chelsea side that included Disasi as captain, playing an hour and failing to prevent Benfica from running riot at Kingsmeadow.

If he is to go and join Milan, he will have to play a whole lot better than being part of a defence that ships six goals against Benfica’s B-team. Given his contract situation, a loan with an option seems very likely.

There are expected to be a few outgoings over the course of the next few weeks, but the two most likely departures are the two members of Chelsea’s bomb squad. Disasi, and Sterling.
