Another signing: Arne Slot
The Reds have been active in the market so far, with the Premier League champions battling for a place in the top four after a sub-par start to their title defence.
Arne Slot’s side have agreed a deal for Mor Ndiaye, the left-sided centre-back, who starred for Senegal at the recent Under-17 World Cup in Qatar.
The Lions of Teranga were beaten by Uganda in the first knockout round after topping their group in the Middle East, and Ndiaye played a key part.
Now, off the back of that, he has earned himself a move to Anfield, with a deal in place, according to Fabrizio Romano.
A verbal agreement has been reached by the Reds to sign him from Amitie FC in his native Senegal, reports the Italian journalist.
Ndiaye’s pending arrival follows Liverpool’s first agreement of the January window, with Ifeane Ndukwe, the Austria Vienna central defender, joining the club at the end of the campaign.
Slot was dealt a hammer blow on Deadline Day last summer, when Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi’s proposed £35million move fell through at the 11th hour, with Palace pulling the plug.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will go back in for the England international, who is currently being courted by Manchester City amid Pep Guardiola’s injury crisis at the heart of his defence.
Slot is struggling with the same issue, with Joe Gomez in and out of match fitness, while Giovanni Leoni, signed from Parma in the summer, ruptured his ACL in the League Cup against Southampton and is out for the foreseeable.
It leaves just Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate as Slot’s main options in the middle, and the arrivals of Ndiaye and Ndukwe could ease the load on the Dutchman and the Frenchman.
