Raya gets two nominations for PL Save of the Month

David Raya has received a double nomination in December's Premier League Save of the Month awards.

The Spaniard has been doubly recognised for his heroics between the posts, which saw him make a string of excellent saves that saw us extend our lead at the top of the Premier League table.

The first nod comes thanks to his fine reflex save to deny Kevin Schade in our 2-0 win over Brentford at the start of the month. A dangerous corner was swung into our box and the German striker powered it goalwards, but David's reactions meant he managed to get the slightest of fingertips onto the header to divert it onto the crossbar, keeping our lead intact:

Then a couple of weeks later, our number one produced another sensational stop to deny Yankuba Minteh in our 2-1 victory against Brighton & Hove Albion. A slick passing move on the edge of our box by the Seagulls allowed the Gambian winger to curl the ball towards the top corner first-time, but showing his sharpness David leapt across his box to fling himself through the air and once again get a hand to the effort and keep out of his net:

Crystal Palace keeper Dean Henderson has also been nominated twice, for saves against Burnley and Leeds United, respectively, while the other nominees include Manchester United shot-stopper Senne Lammens for his save against Wolves, while Emiliano Martinez is also recognised for denying Martin Odegaard in our 4-1 victory.
