Arsenal could deal West Ham a major blow after reported move for 'unbelievable' player, £26m…

Arsenal are in the market for a new midfield play-maker it seems and Mikel Arteta could be set to deal West Ham a monumental blow with his next transfer move.

West Ham are desperate for new signings in the January window, while Arsenal are in no real rush to make any new additions.

However, as Arteta has repeatedly insisted, if a golden opportunity arises, the Gunners will act.

That is what makes the latest news so deflating for the Hammers.

How do you think West Ham could actually BENEFIT long-term from relegation?

Would it really be a disaster? Or a chance for a new beginning?

West Ham are in the market for many more January signings, as Nuno Espirito Santo looks to boost his side’s Premier League survival hopes.

Central midfield is an area at the London Stadium that needs real improvement, with more control and creativity required.

The bad news for the Hammers is that Arsenal could be set to make an attempt to sign one of Nuno’s key transfer targets.

Arsenal plot hijack for West Ham target Breno Bidon

West Ham could be set to miss out to Arsenal in the race to sign one of the most talented young players on the planet in January.

According to a report from Leonino.pt, Arsenal are keen to sign Breno Bidon either in the January transfer window or the summer.

His club – Corinthians – have slapped a £26 million asking price on Bidon’s head.

Sporting and Manchester United are believed to be in the race for the silky-skilled South American as well.

Interestingly, West Ham have been linked with signing Bidon since May 2025, with the Brazilian considered to be one of the hottest prospects in the game today.

This was a deal that West Ham needed to wrap up sooner rather than later, and now Arsenal moving into position to sign him proves exactly why that was the case.

Breno Bidon a new and improved Jorginho?

Described by South American football journalist Nathan Joyes as ‘unbelievable’,

Bidon is a deep-lying central midfielder by trade and he is an absolute dream to watch at his feet.

He has the ability to control the tempo of games and is very similar to former Arsenal star Jorginho in that respect.

The Brazilian actually has far more athleticism and dynamism than Jorginho ever did and he offers a lot more mobility as a result.

Bidon’s technical ability is second to none. He is cool and composed in possession and is not afraid to make line-breaking passes if he has to.

It’s such a shame that West Ham didn’t move quicker to sign Breno Bidon, with Arsenal now chasing his signature.

He would have been a transformational signing for the Hammers but it seems like there’s little chance of him ending up at the London Stadium now.
