The Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks are reportedly among the teams showing interest in Sacramento Kings guard Keon Ellis as the trade deadline approaches.

Now, it’s becoming clearer what teams would need to give up to acquire the 25-year-old guard.
According to James L. Edwards of The Athletic, the Kings are expecting a late first-round pick in return for Ellis.
"I’ve heard the Kings are currently interested in a late first-round pick for Ellis, though that can change as the deadline inches closer," Edwards reports.
"From a money standpoint, Ellis would be easy for the Knicks to take on. He’s only making $2.3 million this year. Ellis and Doug McDermott for Yabusele and some second-round picks would get it done on paper, but it takes two to tango. Yabusele has a player option for next season that Sacramento might not be interested in," he adds.
Ellis holds a $2.3 million expiring contract this season. Despite regressed numbers of 5.7 points per game on 38.5% shooting, he remains an attractive trade asset due to his low salary and the intangibles he brings to the team.
