NBA Legend says he doesn't understand how Michael Jordan is considered the GOAT

NBA legend Isiah Thomas says he doesn’t understand how people call Michael Jordan the G.O.A.T. when players like Kevin Durant and Steph Curry exist, and LeBron James holds nearly every major record.

NBA legend Isiah Thomas made a bold statement on the G.O.A.T. debate during The Run It Back show with DeMarcus Cousins and Chandler Parsons.

Thomas said he doesn’t understand how people call Michael Jordan the greatest of all time when players like Kevin Durant and Steph Curry exist—and when LeBron James holds nearly every major record.

"This what I don't understand about your era, you guys are playing with arguably the greatest player to ever play and you treat he him like he ain't nothing," Thomas said.

"Instead of putting your era up, y'all go back and say our era (Jordan's era) was the greatest, Michael Jordan was the greatest, nobody can ever be greater than Michael Jordan."

"But then in your era LeBron James is holding every single basketball record. You looking at Kevin Durant, you looking at Steph Curry, but then when you say who’s the greatest, y’all talk about the guy who gave y'all some shoes and warmups," he stated.

Isiah Thomas is well-known for his longstanding beef with Jordan, dating back to intense 1980s–1990s playoff rivalries, the infamous 1991 playoff handshake walk-off, and Jordan’s role in keeping Thomas off the 1992 Dream Team.
