You can see the argument from both sides. If Palmer isn’t fit, then there’s no point in risking him, but at the end of the day, a final decision comes down to the player and the manager.

This is something that we are sure Liam Rosenior will encounter at Chelsea, but for now, everything seems to be going smoothly, having made his first request.

Chelsea chiefs allow Calum McFarlane to become Liam Rosenior’s assistant manager

There had been plenty of question marks over who should become Liam Rosenior’s assistant manager at Chelsea, and it’s finally been revealed.

Calum McFarlane has done a sterling job of rallying the troops after Enzo Maresca’s sacking, which was evidenced by the spirited performance in the 1-1 draw with Manchester City.

John Terry even had positive things to say about McFarlane, having seen him behind the scenes at Chelsea, so you can’t knock the appointment.

But it all stemmed from Rosenior.

The Daily Mail states that the new Chelsea boss requested to have McFarlane as his new assistant manager after being impressed with his performances.
