Wizards insider Josh Robbins says he would be surprised if the four-time All-Star played much this season.
“I would be surprised if he plays much, if at all, the remainder of this season," Robbins revealed via NBA Central.
Young missed nearly two months earlier this season with a sprained MCL. He returned to the court but then suffered another injury setback.
Young has missed the last six games for the Hawks, nursing a right quad contusion sustained in late December.
The Wizards are currently 14th in the Eastern Conference with a 10–26 record, which could explain why they might sit out Young, as the team may be trying to tank their way to a higher draft pick in the upcoming draft.
