Manchester City’s Premier League title hopes were dealt a huge blow on Wednesday as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Citizens took the lead shortly before the break when Erling Haaland converted a penalty, but Kaoru Mitoma’s second-half equaliser earned the Seagulls an impressive point.
Pep Guardiola’s side have now drawn three consecutive matches in the Premier League and have fallen behind leaders Arsenal in the race to win the title.
Away from the action, though, it has emerged that one member of City’s squad – who has been linked with a move away from the club – is keen to stay put in Manchester.
As per Sky Sports German’s Florian Plettenberg, winger Omar Marmoush is not looking for a move away from The Etihad despite rumours suggesting otherwise.
Marmoush, 26, joined City from German side Eintracht Frankfurt in January last year having impressed hugely for his former side.

He scored seven goals in 16 Premier League matches during the second half of last term, but so far this season has started just two of City’s 21 league games.
It is claimed that the Egypt international – who is currently representing his country at the African Cup of Nations in Morocco – has been the subject of several enquiries, including some interest from ‘top clubs’.
Despite this and his relative lack of playing time, Marmoush is said to be keen to stay put at The Etihad and fight for his place in Guardiola’s side.
Tottenham Hotspur had been linked with a move for the Egyptian, but it is claimed that the north London outfit do not hold genuine interest in the attacker.
Marmoush signed a long-term deal when joining City last year, and is therefore contracted to the Citizens until the end of the 2028/29 campaign.
