Liverpool have been interested in signing Antoine Semenyo this month but the forward is heading to Manchester City

Liverpool target Antoine Semenyo is on the cusp of joining Manchester City with the player reportedly undergoing a medical at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday.

He said: “I’m not saying this is a Sky Sports breaking news moment but all I’m saying is tonight I’ve heard that it might not be a forgone conclusion that everyone’s talking about that Semenyo will have a medical at City. There might be a little twist. I hope so.”

However, that twist appears to not be coming with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reporting on Thursday that Semenyo was undergoing his medical with Liverpool’s Premier League rivals. He has agreed a five-year deal with Pep Guardiola’s side.

He said on X: “Antoine Semenyo day at Manchester City as expected with medical tests underway. After saying goodbye to Bournemouth, he will now complete his medical and sign deal until June 2031. All signed between clubs already 3 days ago. Here we go, confirmed.”
