Liverpool player ratings vs Arsenal with two 5/10s as Reds scrap to draw

Liverpool scrapped to a goalless draw away at Arsenal to stretch their unbeaten run to 10 games and leave the title-chasing Gunners frustrated. The Premier League champions looked vulnerable in the opening 20 minutes but grew into it at the Emirates and were the better side for a lot of the second half, limiting the hosts to very little going forward. But the away side's attack was too tame and failed to manage a single shot on target.

Conor Bradley was unfortunate as he hit the crossbar from 25 yards out with a cheeky lob after David Raya rushed off his line. But aside from that, there were few major chances for either side as they settled for a point apiece under the lights in north London. Arne Slot's side have now drawn all three of their matches in 2026. After the Reds moved a point further clear of fifth-placed Brentford, Express Sport rates and slates the Liverpool players...

Liverpool player ratings vs Arsenal

Alisson - 7

Had conceded six goals across his previous two visits to the Emirates but kept a welcome clean sheet this time. Saved well from Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice first half before denying Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli late on.

Conor Bradley - 7

Struck the crossbar with a clever attempt after carrying the ball forward. Some really good moments in possession and defended diligently. Stretchered off deep in stoppage time with a nasty injury. A devastating blow.

Ibrahima Konate - 8

Defended really well and wasn't phased by Arsenal's press when he had the ball at his feet. Some important contributions including winning a foul from Gabriel Jesus in stoppage time. Booked for a late melee.

Virgil van Dijk - 8

Organised the defence really well and was commanding in the box, dominating aerially. Crucial to keeping a second clean sheet of the season against Arsenal.

Milos Kerkez - 7

Busy against Saka early on but improved as the first half wore on and then really good against him second half. Wasted a good counter-attack with a bad cross in the first 45 but defended doggedly to block a Saka shot before half-time.

Ryan Gravenberch - 7

Clearly told to stick to Declan Rice out of possession. Won all of his first-half duels when Liverpool were under the cosh and influential after the break too. Played nice ball over the top to Bradley in one second-half attack.

Alexis Mac Allister - 6

Saka danced past him in one early Arsenal move and sloppy with a few passes to begin with but he improved notably and helped Liverpool dominate the second half.

Jeremie Frimpong - 5

Liverpool's most threatening attacker as the only player to offer any pace going forward but gets marked down for how poor his decision-making was. Rejected one chance to get at Myles Lewis-Skelly and wasted a brilliant opportunity with a terrible pullback to Florian Wirtz that was well behind the German. Looked like he'd got injured first half but saw out the 90.

Dominik Szoboszlai - 6

Floated around into pockets of space and saw plenty of the ball. Was one of Liverpool's biggest threats second half but couldn't test David Raya. Put one second-half free-kick absolutely miles wide, another just over the bar, and swiped a half-volley way over the crossbar while also having a promising-looking strike blocked.

Cody Gakpo - 6

Back to left wing but spent a lot of the game helping out on the defensive end. Had a shot blocked after Bradley hit the bar and wasted another attack with a rubbish pass to Kerkez but some good moments of hold-up.

Florian Wirtz - 5

Positioned as a false nine but floated all over to little effect bar one tricky dribble inside the box. Was brought down by Leandro Trossard at the end of that run but VAR said no penalty. Never did enough outside of that.

Joe Gomez (90+3) - N/A

Came on late for a stricken Bradley.
