The Atlanta Hawks traded point guard Trae Young to the Washington Wizards after eight seasons for shooting guard CJ McCollum and small forward Corey Kispert. The Wizards was his top-preferred trade destination.
Jeff Teague says he likes the Trae Young trade for both parties: “For Trae it’s going to be another building process. Same thing he did with the Hawks he figured it out 4 time all star got them to the conference finals. For the Hawks it’s wide open now CJ feels the void they needed.”

He should play immediately after the All-Star break; that enough time for him to heal, and any later would be too late for the Wizards to have a decent record. By that time, they will be locked in with the lottery.
Trae and the young players need to build some chemistry. The Wizards need real time reps figure out what they have to work on in the offseason and how they can help each other next season.
