Lilla first met Steve in August 2015, as she shared in an Instagram post four years later.

"Met this guy fours years ago today... I’m a lucky girl!" she wrote alongside a photo of the couple smiling at the beach.

The two got engaged less than a year later, with Steve announcing that he popped the question in March 2016.

Lilla and Steve got their marriage license in August 2016 before getting married on Sept. 3 in Manhattan Beach, Calif. Steve’s daughters from his previous marriage, Bella and Lola, served as Lilla’s "mini bridesmaids," she shared in a March 2016 Instagram post.

Lilla posted a photo of herself holding hands with Steve at their wedding on Instagram, writing, “And this happened. I'm a happy Mrs. Nash!”

Steve posted a photo from the happy occasion too, describing himself as “Mr Lucky.”

A year later, Lilla celebrated their first anniversary by posting a photo of herself with Steve on Instagram, writing that she “couldn’t be happier” and that she’d had the “best year of my life.”

Since their nuptials, Steve and Lilla have welcomed two children: son Luca Sun Nash, who was born on July 19, 2017, and daughter Ruby Jean Nash, who was born on June 26, 2019.

Lilla is also a stepmother to Steve’s twin daughters, Bella and Lola, and son Matteo, whom he welcomed with Amarilla.

In a May 2018 Instagram post, Lilla shared that her most proud moment as a mother is “watching my child and my stepkids blend as one family," adding, "My tribe!”

"With 3 step kids I had to let a lot go. Dirty hands will not always be washed, the house will never be quiet, naps will be missed, I could keep going on but I think you get the gist of it," she wrote. "Living in SoCal I think a lot of moms have a certain persona that they have to fulfill, which is being the perfect mom. There is no such thing. There is no right way to do things."

They publicly support each other

Lilla loves to show her support for her husband online. In December 2020, she shared that the family moved to Brooklyn after Steve was hired by the Brooklyn Nets as head coach. (He remained there until November 2022, per ESPN.)

"We moved to Brooklyn a little over 3 months ago and it feels like we are in the place we are supposed to be," she wrote on Instagram. "It’s been challenging, but super fun to be part of this incredible community."

Since then, Steve was hired by the Phoenix Suns as a senior advisor, per ESPN. The couple sold their Brooklyn townhouse in 2023, according to the New York Post, and have seemingly been posting from a warmer climate.

"Happy 50th to our guy!" Lilla captioned a series of photos of the couple and their family in February 2024. "Cheers to the best dad, husband and friend."

Steve pays tribute to his wife online, too. Just a few weeks after they got married, he told Hypebeast that they’ve “built a really great home and family” together and called her an “incredible stepmom.”

In July 2021, he celebrated her birthday by posting a clip from her volleyball days on Instagram, writing, “Happy Birthday to my wife the human highlight! You’re an all-rounder with a ton of skills and a huge heart. You’re great under pressure and can handle adversity. Incredible character and tenacity, willing to make the extra effort and an amazing teammate.”
