Anthony Edwards has become the third-youngest player to reach 10,000 career points at 24 years and 156 days old.
Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards made history in a 131–122 win against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night.
By scoring 25 points (10/20 FG, 4/7 3PT), along with 7 rebounds and 9 assists, he became the third-youngest player to reach 10,000 career points at 24 years and 156 days old.
Only LeBron James, who did it at 23 years and 59 days old, and Kevin Durant, at 24 years and 33 days old, reached the milestone at a younger age than the Timberwolves All-Star.
He also joins LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Luka Doncic, Tracy McGrady, and Carmelo Anthony as the only players to reach 10K before turning 25.
This season, Edwards is averaging 29.2 points, 5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists, while shooting 50.4% from the field and 40.7% from three-point range.
So far, he has helped the Timberwolves sit fourth in the Western Conference with a 25–13 record.
