Arsenal seemed poised for a quiet January transfer window after splashing out approximately £250million last summer. Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi and Eberechi Eze were all signed among others ahead of the 2025/26 season.

And it was suggested that only unique market opportunities would prompt winter window additions. Antoine Semenyo's £65million release clause at Bournemouth certainly fit that bill, but Manchester City appear to have pipped them to the post.

However, the Gunners look set to battle City for Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi after Oliver Glasner's candid comments about his future. With all this in mind, Daily Star Sporthas compiled the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours.

The Mirror are reporting Arsenal are poised to join the January transfer battle for Guehi. The England international has been touted for switches to Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich before Man City declared their interest, reports the Mirror.

There was appreciation for Guehi from north London last summer before a decision was taken to bring in Cristhian Mosquera instead.

Nevertheless, those at the club remain keen on Guehi but it's uncertain whether the Gunners would make a bid or hold off until the summer when his deal runs out. This development follows comments from Oliver Glasner regarding whether Palace would part with Guehi this month.

Igor Tyjon 'bids submitted'

Arsenal have already had multiple offers for Igor Tyjon turned down by Blackburn Rovers. The Gunners have been hot on the trail of the young forward, who is also adept at playing on the left wing, since last summer.

The Sun reported that several offers exceeding £1million were rebuffed. However, this hasn't deterred Arsenal, with recent reports suggesting they are still keeping tabs on the England U18s sensation.

Tyjon appears poised for a move in the near future, having declined a professional contract to stay at Ewood Park, leaving Blackburn bracing themselves for his departure.
