Liverpool’s 0-0 draw with Arsenal meant the focus on the January transfer window abated on Thursday, but with a long weekend ahead with no first-team fixture, rumors of the Reds’ incomings and outgoings will dominate the agenda.
So too will the news surrounding Conor Bradley. The right-back was stretchered off the pitch in the final stages of the 0-0 draw at the Emirates and appeared in real discomfort.
Given Liverpool already has one long-term defensive injury, it’s no exaggeration to claim Bradley’s injury could force the Reds into the market this month.
However, the race for a summer defensive target is far from straightforward. Marc Guehi was just hours away from being a Red in September, but is now attracting widespread interest from the Premier League’s best, including Arsenal and Manchester City.
The latter is also believed to be expected to conclude a deal for another Liverpool target: Antoine Semenyo.
Meanwhile, Liverpool is closing in on the transfer of young center-back Mor Ndiaye from Senegalese side Amitie FC. He is one of three youth-team defenders who could arrive at the AXA Training Center this month.
