Marc Guehi has been linked with Liverpool since the summer
Arne Slot and the Liverpool management are facing mounting pressure following a string of lacklustre performances, ongoing issues involving Mohamed Salah simmering in the background, and a concerning injury record.
Antoine Semenyo, who was touted as a potential replacement for the Egyptian star, has joined Manchester City. Liverpool had been widely reported as admirers of the Ghanaian international, but have missed out on the star.
Liverpool also face competition from Pep Guardiola's team for Marc Guehi. The Reds' deadline day deal for the Crystal Palace captain fell through after the South London club decided to pull out of the agreement. Daily Star Sport has rounded up all the latest headlines.

Liverpool have reportedly struck a verbal agreement to sign left-sided centre-back Mor Ndiaye, according to claims made by Fabrizio Romano, reports the Mirror.
Reports suggested Slot's team were making headway in negotiations to bring the 17-year-old Senegalese defender on board. Ndiaye is set to join Rob Page's under-21s, while Amara Nallo could potentially be loaned out due to his arrival.
Earlier this month, Liverpool bolstered their defence with the signing of 19-year-old Noah Adekoya from Burnley. He will also be part of Page's defensive line-up.

Man City are said to be the front-runners to snatch Guehi away from Liverpool, but they now face competition from Premier League title contenders, Arsenal.
The Gunners have joined Bayern Munich and the Reds in the race to sign the England international. However, it remains uncertain whether Mikel Arteta's side will hold off until the summer or seize the opportunity to secure a deal at a reduced price this month.
Arsenal already boasts a plethora of options in defence after the north London club bolstered their ranks in recent transfer windows, securing Piero Hincapie and Cristhian Mosquera last summer.
