Manchester City have completed the signing of Ghana winger Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth in a deal worth around £65m.
The 26-year-old has signed a contract running until 2031 and will wear the number 42 shirt, previously worn by Yaya Toure during his trophy-laden spell at the club.

Semenyo said: “I am so proud to have joined Manchester City. They set the highest standards. The players, the facilities, and the manager speak for themselves.
“I still have a lot to improve, and this feels like the perfect place for me at this stage of my career. It’s a real privilege to be here. My best football is still ahead of me.”
Semenyo leaves Bournemouth on a high note, having scored a stoppage-time winner in Wednesday’s 3-2 win over Tottenham. He has four goals in his last six matches and sits third in the Premier League scoring charts this season with 10 goals from 20 games, behind new team-mate Erling Haaland and Brentford’s Igor Thiago.
He is one goal away from matching his best league return, after scoring 11 times in 36 Premier League starts last season.
Bournemouth signed Semenyo from Bristol City for around £10m in January 2023. He departs with 32 goals and 13 assists from 110 appearances in all competitions.
Before his move to the south coast, Semenyo built his reputation in the Championship with Bristol City, scoring 21 goals and providing 21 assists in 125 games. He also had loan spells at Sunderland, Newport County and Bath City.
Semenyo signed a four-and-a-half-year deal when he joined Bournemouth and agreed a contract extension last summer, which had been due to run until 2030.
Next weekend (January 17), Manchester City travel to Old Trafford to take on local rivals Manchester United - who sacked manager Ruben Amorim earlier this week.
The Red Devils have appointed former player Darren Fletcher as interim boss, but without a true gaffer some pundits expect the team to stumble in the coming weeks.
Semenyo has been in fine form for Bournemouth, and with more than a week before the two sides meet he has plenty of time to settle into Guardiola’s side.
Personally, we expect Semenyo to start in the derby next weekend, giving either Phil Foden or Rayan Cherki a much-needed rest.
