Arne Slot and Richard Hughes fall out rumour
Liverpool are expected to have a quiet January transfer window, reports have suggested.
It leaves Slot with a threadbare squad lacking any real depth, as we saw on Thursday when the Reds made no changes versus Arsenal.

Arne Slot should put more pressure on Liverpool in January
Whether there is any truth to rumours of Slot falling out with Hughes remains to be seen.
But it does seem pretty clear that Liverpool should be doing more in the transfer window.
Marc Guehi won’t sign this winter, with the latest reports saying that even though Manchester City want the centre-back now, he is only an option for the Merseyside outfit in the summer.
Similarly, Antoine Semenyo is joining Man City, and Liverpool don’t appear close to any first-team signings.
Slot already had a small squad, and recent injury issues have further depleted his options.
The lack of depth on display on Thursday compared to what Arsenal had at their disposal was alarming, yet FSG seem happy to do very little in this window.
