Flagg/Knueppel Updates

[C](https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nba/draymond-green-on-hornets-rookie-knueppel-vs-klay-thompson/)ooper Flagg and Kon Knueppel continue to have tremendous rookie seasons in the NBA.

In Flagg’s latest game against Utah, Dallas’s rookie prize just missed his first triple double, with 26 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. He’s also apparently considering entering the NBA Dunk Contest, which would be fun to watch (fellow Maverick and Brotherhood member Dereck Lively did not play after having season-ending foot surgery while Kyle Filipowski finished with 8 points and 4 rebounds).

As for Knueppel, he had 18 points and 8 rebounds against the Indiana Pacers. He’s also gotten some high praise from Draymond Green, who said that he didn’t expect Knueppel to be as good as he’s been but he also said this: “The way he’s shooting the ball, you can compare him to a young Klay Thompson. I have not seen Kon guard the other team’s best guard.”

“(That) is one of the things that made Klay truly special. And I haven’t seen Kon have the competitive fire that Klay has. Klay Thompson has the most competitive fire out of any player I ever played with.”

It’s still early so we’ll see how Knueppel evolves, but comparing his shooting touch to Thompson’s is high praise indeed.
