Liverpool are yet to make a first-team signing in the January transfer window.
It emerged last week that the Reds have agreed a deal for young centre-back Ifeanyi Ndukwe, who is set to link up with the club after 2025/26 comes to a close.
A second youngster is now expected to move to Anfield soon as well, with Liverpool agreeing a ‘verbal’ deal for Mor Ndiaye.

But are the Merseyside outfit actually going to add senior players to their squad this month?
Well, a deal for Marc Guehi isn’t happening until the summer, while there has now been a fresh update on another long-time target.
Liverpool interested in Yan Diomande
RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande was linked with a €100m price-tag (around £88m) during the final few months of 2025.
Bayern Munich want Diomande as well, but it’s now thought that Liverpool’s interest in the attacker should be taken very seriously.
MORE LIVERPOOL STORIES
Christian Falk provided an update on interest in the Bundesliga talent this week, also linking the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea.
Falk said: “He has a long contract Yan Diomande, until 2030, so he’s not cheap, so that’s why you have to take the interest of Liverpool, Chelsea, City, Spurs, very very seriously, when we talk about these clubs, these are also the clubs that have Said El Mala on their lists, they have the same ideas.
“Bayern Munich can do something in this position, but they don’t have to.”
Which Bundesliga talent are you taking? Yan Diomande or Said El Mala

Yan Diomande vs Mohamed Salah
The 19-year-old is a right winger who can also operate on the left-hand side.
His senior career to date has been very limited, but he’s already impressing in the top tier of Germany.
On the left, he has two goals and one assist in 11 matches, but he’s truly shone on the opposite flank, netting seven and assisting four in the same number of appearances.
Given that Mohamed Salah could leave Liverpool in 2026, the Reds may be eyeing up the teenager as a potential long-term replacement for the 33-year-old.
Only time will tell if he’s good enough to fill the void left when Salah, who has five goals and four assists in 20 ties this term, eventually departs.
