Here is the latest Chelsea transfer news and gossip as Caleb Wiley has returned to Stamford Bridge after being recalled from his loan at Watford, the Blues have announced on the club website.
He made five appearances for the club during the 2025-26 season. With Wiley’s return date unknown, CHELSEA has recalled the loanee to continue his rehabilitation under their supervision.
Wiley was loaned to Watford last season and registered one assist in 10 EFL Championship appearances, but Wiley’s season-long loan spell at EFL Championship side Watford has been cut short due to his lingering back injury, the Watford Observer reported.
The 21-year-old, who has gained further experience in the Championship, originally joined Chelsea in July 2024 from MLS side Atlanta United.

Wiley must be sol disappointed that he has struggled with injuries this season, and having his loan cut short means that he will not get the game time that he has been so excited to get this season.
However – this is probably the best thing for the lad as CHELSEA will give him the best care that he needs, and at the end of the season, he will probably get another chance to go back out on loan and get some minutes.
But for now the best thing he can do is rest up, recover nicely and then come back stronger and hungrier.
