Brighton are reportedly involved in a six-team transfer tussle for Como’s rising star Jacobo Ramon.
The defender has emerged as one of the brightest talents in the Serie A this season, with his impressive performances somewhat going under the radar due to the talents of his teammate, Nico Paz.
Both youngsters came through the academy at Real Madrid before heading to Como, and the duo have since asserted themselves as key players under manager Cesc Fabregas.
Paz is expected to return to the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season, and Ramon could similarly be on the move before the 2026/27 campaign gets underway.
According to TEAMtalk, the Spaniard is being tracked by six Premier League outfits, whilst Madrid are considering activating the buy-back clause they inserted into his contract upon agreeing to his £2million exit previously.
Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham are all keen on Ramon, whilst Brighton, Crystal Palace and Newcastle have also sent scouts to Italy to monitor his progress over the past few months.
Como are aware of the growing interest in their No. 14, as well as how Madrid are weighing up whether to re-sign their academy graduate, in what is a major blow to the centre-back’s English suitors.
If Los Blancos decide against reuniting with Ramon at the end of the season, the six interested parties will still face a setback stemming from the Spanish giants’ transfer clauses.
Madrid included a 50% sell-on into his contract with Como as well, meaning that Fabregas’ side will demand a mammoth fee to sell the 21-year-old to ensure that they bank a healthy profit to reinvest into their squad.
Ramon’s price tag could also soar even further if Spain manager Luis de la Fuente decides to call up the defender ahead of this summer’s World Cup, and he could even push the likes of Pau Cubarsi, Dean Huijsen and Aymeric Laporte for a spot in their starting XI.
