Ja Morant trade rumors heat up ahead of February 5 NBA deadline

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has been mentioned as a potential trade target for multiple teams around the league. The Western Conference team has struggled to replicate past joys, with Morant missing multiple games due to injuries.

He was suspended earlier in the season due to issues with his head coach, Tuomas Iisalo. Despite all the issues going on within the team, the Grizzlies remained reluctant to move on from Morant.

Ja Morant has played 325 games during his seven-year career. He averages 22.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game, shooting 46.6% from the field, 31% from deep and 77.3% from the free-throw line.

The Grizzlies (16-21) rank 10th in the Western Conference standings, which would grant them the final play-in tournament spot. Moving on from Morant could mean they are set to blow it up and start rebuilding.
