The January transfer window is now in full swing.

And Liverpool haven’t hung around when it comes to confirming deals.

The Reds confirmed their first transfer of 2026 with the news of James Norris moving to Shelbourne.

Noah Adekoya confirmed that he’s signed with Liverpool as well when he shared images of himself signing his contract with the Anfield club.

The Liverpool women’s side also confirmed two transfers of players coming into the club within the first week of the window opening.

With Owen Beck also being called back to Liverpool from Derby Country, the transfer news has been coming out thick and fast at a rapid pace this January.

This is not something new for Liverpool fans.

The hierarchy at the club have always preferred to get their transfer business done nice and early and January 2026 seems to be following that same pattern.

And the transfer activity has continued with news of another player coming into the club, with a forward from Sweden moving to Merseyside.

Liverpool have officially confirmed that the club have signed Norway forward Anna Josendal from Hammarby IF.

Josendal is joining the club on a permanent deal and will wear the number 21 shirt for The Reds.

The 24-year-old spoke about her excitement over joining the club when speaking to the official website.

“It feels amazing to be here.

“This has been my dream since I was a little kid – Liverpool has always been my favourite team and my whole family is supporting them as well, so it’s big for me.

“I spoke a lot with Gareth [Taylor] and Andy [O’Boyle] and that felt so good, and also to play in the Barclays Women’s Super League, the best league in Europe, is something I really look forward to.

“To play for this shirt is going to be so special, so I can’t wait to get started.”

Anna Josendal has played for the likes of Avaldsnes IL, Rosenborg BK and Hammarby IF in her career.

She has also represented Norway’s senior team since June 2022 and appeared at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Josendal is the third signing for Liverpool Women’s in the January 2026 transfer window as the club look to stave off relegation in a season that’s not panned out as well as hoped in the Women’s Super League.

Anna Josendal is also the third signing made from Sweden in the window, with both Jennifer Falk and Alice Bergstrom joining from BK Hacken.

LFC fans will hope that the Swedish connection between the three can transmit to their time in England and help The Reds pick up points and climb the table.
