Barcelona are reportedly hoping to keep hold of Marcus Rashford past the end of the current season after being impressed with his performances on loan from Manchester United.
Mundo Deportivo, Sport and Jijantes are all reporting that Barcelona are currently intending to trigger the purchase option in his contract which is thought to be around €30 million.
Rashford has posted some decent stats since joining from Manchester United. He has seven goals and 11 assists in 26 matches and has attracted [plenty of praise from manager Hansi Flick](/fc-barcelona-transfer-rumors-news/108857/hansi-flick-eager-for-barcelona-to-keep-hold-of-marcus-rashford).
The [forward has also spoken about his future](/barcelona-team-news/108742/what-i-want-is-to-stay-at-barcelona-marcus-rashford-sends-transfer-message) and said his intention is to continue in Catalunya.
“Of course what I want is to stay at Barça. It’s an end goal, but it’s not the reason why I’m training hard and giving it my best. The purpose is to win. Barça is a huge, fantastic club, built to win titles,” he told Sport.
Sport say that Rashford has fitted in well at Barcelona, is close to his team-mates, and his versatility is particularly appreciated by the Catalan giants.
There’s still a long way to go until the end of the season, but the feeling seems to be that Rashford is very much in Barca’s future plans at the moment.
