Over the years, Chelsea have had some fantastic talents. They haven't always been able to make the most out of them, though. In the Premier League era, the likes of Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne spring to mind as two superstars who weren't given a fair shot at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea's loss was Liverpool and Manchester City's gain, with the pair going on to prove themselves as club legends. The Blues could be set to watch another former prospect go on to achieve special things for a rival club in the near future, too.
Indeed, one ex-Chelsea man could soon make a big-money move to either Arsenal or Manchester City, having left Stamford Bridge for a small fee only a few years ago.
Tino Livramento Attracting Premier League Interest
Tino Livramento in action for Newcastle United
The man in question is current Newcastle defender Tino Livramento. The right-back was at Chelsea since under-9 level, joining in 2009 and impressed for a number of years as he rose through the ranks, even being named the Blues' academy player of the year for the 2020/21 season.
Despite this, he never actually made a senior appearance for the club, and left for Southampton in 2021. The Saints reportedly paid just £4m for the young defender, although there was a hefty sell-on fee included in the deal.
That means Chelsea would have landed a notable fee when he moved on to Newcastle just two years later for around £30m. Even so, Livramento's transfer value has now doubled, with the Sun claiming that he could be sold for over £60m in the summer.
The report adds that Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester City are both keen on the Englishman, who confirmed in December that there had been no talks over a new contract (his current deal has two-and-a-half years left) with the Magpies.
It's claimed that, despite having Jurrien Timber at right-back, Mikel Arteta is in the market for more competition at the back, and that Livramento’s versatility makes him an 'attractive option', as he can play on either flank.
As for Manchester City, they are understood to have held long-term interest in the fullback and are considered serious contenders for his signature in the 2026 summer transfer window. Still only 23, Livramento has played 106 games in the Premier League, and also has a total of three international appearances for the Three Lions.
Marc Guehi Could Also Spark More Chelsea Regret

Of course, Livramento isn't the only former Chelsea defender who could get a big move in 2026. Marc Guehi is perhaps the most notable defender on the market right now, with a number of big clubs chasing him.
The Crystal Palace star is out of contract in the summer and is being carefully watched by Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City – with talk that a January move could be on the cards as well.
Much like Livramento, Chelsea may well be questioning the wisdom of letting Guehi go on the cheap in 2021. They at least managed to pull in £18 for the centre-back, but if he is to leave this winter, a buying club will likely have to pay around double that. GIVEMESPORT understands that the Eagles are expecting more than £35m for any deal to go through.
All in all, Livramento and Guehi could move for over £100m combined in the near future.
