Anthony Davis is in the middle of another strong season, this time as a member of the Dallas Mavericks. However, the veteran big man is once again dealing with an injury.
Davis injured his hand on Thursday night against the Utah Jazz as he was defending a drive. Davis immediately grabbed his hand in pain.

With the Mavericks season spiraling, Davis was expected to be a possible trade candidate. Now, though, he will be on the sidelines for the foreseeable future.

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Anthony Davis is expected to miss "a number of months" after suffering ligament damage in his left hand. That could sideline him beyond the Feb. 5 trade deadline, which could impact the Mavericks plans for the season.
