The mansion across from San Antonio Spurs legend David Robinson’s old home is for sale

The mansion across the street from Spurs legend David Robinson’s former residence has hit the market, and it’s a grand estate even by standards of the posh Dominion enclave in which it’s located.

The palatial 12,000-square-foot dwelling was listed roughly a week ago with a price tag just under $4.8 million. Its address at 2 Admirals Way spells out its proximity to the NBA Hall of Famer’s one-time digs. Fans know Robinson as the “Admiral” due to his Naval Academy background and his strong on- and off-court leadership.

As an indication of just how fancy this French classic-style home is, it’s been used as a set for at least five movie productions, according to its listing agent. Those have included the Christian thriller Run (2017), which starred Stephen Baldwin, and the religiously themed romance Scarlett (2016).

It’s easy to see why the seven-bedroom, eight-and-a-half-bath property would capture a filmmaker’s eye.

The residence sprawls across a two acre lot, which comes equipped with a massive pool, spa and gazebo whose fountains, manicured greenery and multi-tiered terraces resemble something out of Old Hollywood. Indeed, the house is built into a hillside, so a sheer cliff wall shields the elegant backyard from prying eyes.

The interior is also packed with extravagances including an elegant circular staircase, unique wine cellar, a rooftop cupola and upstairs game and movie rooms. An elevator carries guests between floors.

This property is listed by Sasha Jam with The Jam Group.
