Lakers Injury News: JJ Redick drops huge update on LeBron James, Rui Hachimura

James (foot, sciatica) will play for the Lakers against the Bucks, while Hachimura (calf) is set to return on Monday in Sacramento.

The Los Angeles Lakers' health situation is becoming even better.

Los Angeles Lakers / Schedule

In the pregame of the team's Friday clash against the Milwaukee Bucks, JJ Redick announced that LeBron James is available and ready to play.

James missed the team's previous 107-91 loss against the San Antonio Spurs due to sciatica and arthritis.

Meanwhile, Redick revealed that there is "a lot of optimism" for Rui Hachimura (calf) to return by Monday against the Sacramento Kings.

The Japanese star has been dealing with a right calf strain since late December, which forced him to miss a handful of games.

Although there is no clear update yet around Austin Reaves (calf), there's still a good indication that the Lakers' injury status is gradually improving.

In 18 games, James is averaging 21.7 points, 6.8 assists and 5.4 boards. Meanwhile, Hachimura appeared in 27 matches while tallying 12.7 points and 3.8 boards.

The Lakers (23-12) are aiming to return to the win column as they'll welcome the visiting Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks.
