Barrett is set to undergo further evaluation after a left ankle injury in the Raps' loss against the Celtics.
Toronto Raptors star RJ Barrett left a few minutes before the team's 125-117 loss against the Boston Celtics due to a left ankle injury.
Toronto Raptors / Schedule
Barrett turned his ankle and collapsed to the ground as he was dribbling the ball for the Raptors' offensive possession with around four minutes left in the final quarter.
He sustained his injury after accidentally stepping on Hauser's foot. Barrett entered the locker room and was subsequently ruled out of the game.
He finished the night with 19 points and seven assists in 28 minutes.
The Raptors are severely shorthanded already from the absences of Jakob Poeltl (back), Scottie Barnes (right knee sprain) and Brandon Ingram (right thumb sprain). A potential significant absence for Barrett can only give Toronto another blow out of their current strong season progress as a top four team in the East (23-16).
Barrett appeared in 22 games this season, averaging 19.6 points, 5.1 boards and 3.5 assists.
